You may wonder if being small means we struggle to field teams or win trophies. The answer is a resounding no!
Teams often return victorious from sports fixtures, swimming galas and cross country. Whether they are competing in HMC tournaments, at local, county, regional or even national level, our pupils always give an excellent account of themselves and regularly add to the collection of silverware on display. Their desire to do well for the team, their coaches and the school is palpable.
Music is no different. A high number of children play at least one instrument, making the most of the pool of peripatetic teachers who visit during the week. Such is the level of participation that we have an orchestra, a chamber choir and a string ensemble, all of which perform to an extraordinarily high standard for this age group.
