A beautiful service for Fr. Peter Knott SJ
On Saturday 2nd December, a truly memorable service was held at Farm Street Church to remember Fr. Peter Knott SJ who joined Barlborough Hall School in 2001 and was remembered very fondly as a member of the school family.
The presence of Father Peter Knott SJ will be missed in every part of school life. It is not only his role in the sacramental life of the school but the high fives in the car park in a morning, the paintings that adorn the walls, his lively playing of the piano in the parlour, his enthusiastic contributions at whole school events, his humour, his energy and his “hey-ho” singing around the corridors will all be greatly missed. Even as Father began to get a little frail he still remained devoted to the school. He said Mini mass each lunchtime to a small group of children and they were delighted spending time in his company.
Although Father Peter is no longer with us, his spirit will remain with us always.
He truly was a man for others. God Bless you, Peter. Rest in Peace.
