Christmas carolling

Pupils, parents, grandparents and staff of Barlborough Hall School gathered in Lion’s Court to sing Christmas carols.

Wearing Christmas jumpers and accessories and wrapped up warm in scarves and gloves, the carollers sang all the festive favourites from Jingle Bells to We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Mince pies were handed out as the outdoor performance began.

The previous evening pupils and staff at Mount St Mary’s came together at the end of the school day to sing Christmas songs chosen by the students. This gathering took place around a 14ft tree in Pineapple Tower with hot chocolate and mince pies served in the theatre.

On Sunday the senior choir entertained diners at The Angel in Spinkhill in what is becoming a new tradition.
