Tony Ho Scholar says goodbye to the Mount
The time has come to wave goodbye to Willie, a recent scholar of the Tony Ho scholarship programme but before we say goodbye we wanted to ask Willie about his time here at the Mount.
“I really enjoyed being at Mount St Mary’s and it has been a great way to improve my rugby skills. I loved training every day and playing with the team here. Having the running track and gym is really good.”
“I have enjoyed boarding at the Mount and have made lots of new friends from around the world. Even though I have only been here for 2 terms I will always feel part of the Mount family. It was difficult at the beginning but I have improved my English during my time here.”
We asked Willie if he has one piece of advice for the next Tony Ho scholar what it would be. He responded “Enjoy every moment and be confident!”
The Tony Ho Scholarship Fund is supported by Mount St Mary’s, the HKRFU and Kowloon RFC and provides a Summer Educational / Sporting Summer Camp for small groups of Hong Kong students. The fund was set up in the memory of Tony Ho, a former Mount St Mary’s pupil who was a promising young rugby player from Hong Kong.
We wish Willie all the best for the future and look forward to welcoming another Tony Ho scholar to Mount St Mary’s in the near future.
