When children pull on the dark blue blazer of our Prep and Senior School, proudly bearing the timeless Mount crest, they seem to stand that little bit straighter.
The traditionally smart and modest attire unites the pupils. From the five-year-olds in Pre Prep III to the 16-year-old GCSE students, they are visibly a part of one community. Even in Nursery, where children are three and four-years-old, we see clear benefits in having a uniform, albeit a more comfortable, practical version that is appropriate to this age group and their activities.
The Latin wording beneath the crest – Sine Macula – literally translates as ‘without stain or blemish’. In modern English it means ‘immaculate’, and that is certainly how our pupils look when turned out.
We work with an experienced Sheffield-based school uniform supplier called Logo Leisurewear, who operate an online shop and an in-school shop on our behalf. The shop at Mount St Mary’s College is open on Tuesday and Thursday between 1:00pm and 5:00pm. The shop at Barlborough Hall School is open on Wednesday from 2:00pm until 5:00pm and between 8:00am and midday on Thursday.
The shop is open for appointments only during the summer holiday. Call Salli on 07423 194055 to book an appointment to have your child measured and/or to place an order.
