Mount Golf Classic Charity Day 2019

Pupils, former pupils, parents, staff and friends of Mount St Mary’s College teed off for this year’s annual Mount Golf Classic Charity Day at Sitwell Park Golf Club.

This year the event raised money for St Luke’s Hospice and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

Golfers were entertained by the amazing Barbershop Quartet made up of Mount pupils Mark Alkins-Tooth, Jacob Danks, Rhys Williams and Ethan Morrison.

Dr Nicholas Cuddihy, Headmaster, said the day had been a fantastic success.

“We were blessed with good weather and that, coupled with the excellent turnout, made for a really successful day,” he said.

“Raising money for two charities which are very close to our hearts made the day extra special, and we’re looking forward to making a donation to both organisations in the near future.”

Best junior player was Presley Allott, who is a Year 8 pupil at the Mount.

Next year’s Mount Golf Classic Charity Day will take place on June 5, 2020.
