Head of Music - Barlborough Hall School

Salary:                          MSM/BHS Internal payscale MPS-UPS  

Working pattern:          3 days per week, between Monday to Friday. Working days to be agreed.

Start date:                    September 2024/January 2025

This is a great opportunity for the right individual to be part of a vibrant Catholic co-educational day school in the Jesuit tradition, catering for the needs of children aged 3 -11 from all denominations in a truly ecumenical and happy environment.  

 

We are currently seeking to appoint a Head of Music to teach music across all ages at Barlborough Hall School.  You will inspire and encourage the children in a stimulating and structured learning environment, through innovative lesson planning and a range of teaching methods to ensure the needs of all pupils are met. 

 

An essential part of this post is playing the piano to a high standard. 

 

We are a school with a proud tradition of putting on many productions throughout the year, of which you will lead. This includes Carol Services, Nativities, Musicals and termly soloist and ensemble concerts. Part of this role includes leading a team of peripatetic teachers, running the school orchestra and choirs as extra-curricular activities and playing the piano for Mass and other services. 

 

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join us who can make a significant contribution and impact on the success of the school. The successful candidate will be an excellent and innovative classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire and motivate children, an excellent communicator with staff, parents and children and a highly enthusiastic and dedicated team member. 

 

A willingness to support the ethos of the school is essential and the school will support continued professional development.
