Choosing a school is undoubtedly one of the most significant decisions that you as a parent will make.
Whether your child is taking their first steps and preparing for Nursery or you are further down the line and considering a place at our Prep School, Senior School or Sixth Form, you are very welcome here.

Visits during the school day are preferable so you can see the School in action and soak up the warm and genuine atmosphere.

Registration
To progress an application we encourage you to complete a registration form (available below) as soon as possible and return it to our admissions office.
We are committed to retaining small class sizes and will cap year groups in order to maintain this. Early registration is recommended to secure your place for the next academic year.

Day Students
Weekly Boarding
Our weekly Boarders arrive on Monday morning and return home for the weekend. This is different to our Flexi-Boarding rates.

Transport
Leave the school run to our team of professional drivers who operate a fleet of 10 private minibuses throughout term time.

Our Transport team safely and conveniently collect and return children from Chesterfield, Doncaster, Mansfield, Matlock, Sheffield and Worksop. This popular service is available to pupils at Mount St Mary’s College and Barlborough Hall School.

Scholarships and Bursaries
Mount St Mary's College and Barlborough Hall School are proudly and resolutely academically inclusive. Notwithstanding this we reward outstanding talent by offering a limited number of scholarships every year.

Scholarships are offered for demonstrable excellence in academia, music or sport at the point of entry into Year 7, Year 9 and Year 12. A formal process of application, assessment and award takes place annually. Full details, including key dates, can be obtained from the admissions team.

Means tested bursaries are also available, and can be offered in conjunction with scholarships to qualifying candidates. For families with younger children looking to join Barlborough Hall School, a limited number of bursaries may be available.
